Anyone taken the ambulance license test? [Apr. 15th, 2009|03:15 pm]
I'm in California, and am looking to get an ambulance driver's license from the state DMV.  We just have to pass a written exam and have a driver's license, no practical or anything.  I was wondering if anyone's taken the written (preferrably in california) and had any info on what I could expect from it.  Thanks

The DMV has an Ambulance Driver's Handbook, which is about $5, (or was when I last bought one a couple years ago.) All of the questions are taken from that book. Be aware you'll also have to take the regular driving test again as well, for your current class of license, (Class C, B, M1, etc.)

You can get the handbook, but when I went to take it, I just went to http://www.amr-evoc.com/evoc/dmv/ and it has questions WORD FOR WORD from the DMV test. I passed the first time, missed one or two. (Oh, and I'm in California too so I'm sure it will be the same for you. They have a few different versions of the test). It's still a good idea to get the DMV handbook though...
